Reject false candidates
Do not automate a process whose rules change weekly or whose result has no owner. Simplify it first.
Establish a baseline
- Weekly volume.
- Average handling time.
- Returns or errors.
- Delay from entry to output.
Build an escape route
The system should flag uncertainty, keep a trace and allow human correction. Silent automation is difficult to manage.
