Inventory the files
For each file, note its owner, use, frequency and supported decision. Duplicates and orphan files soon become visible.
Choose active data
- Used customers and suppliers.
- Validated items, units and prices.
- Checked stock or balances.
- Documents still open.
Rehearse the migration
Import, run scenarios, compare totals, correct the source and repeat. Cutover day should reproduce an operation already mastered.
